There are great options in both La Grande and Baker. A few personal (local) highlights are:

Brother Bear Cafe (La Grande) Homemade baked goods, coffee, great lunches and breakfasts

Side A Brewing (La Grande) Great burgers and brewing company (has outdoor seating)

Barley Brown’s (Baker City) Brewpub with local favorite Pallet Jack beer (try the fried pickles)

Hines Meat Co. (La Grande) Fresh meat, jerky, sausages and more

Pizzano’s Pizza (Baker City) Great pizza for the family to share back at the cabin

Mamacita’s (La Grande) International Grill

And these are just to name a few!

What is there to do?

The park is located just nine miles away from Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort which offers year round activities such as the following: hiking, biking, fishing, lake activities, skiing, snowboarding, and more! It is also located along The Elkhorn Scenic Byway, which is known to be a popular cycling route and/or drive.

Complementary informational booklets and brochures are provided as well that elaborate on all there is to do in the surrounding areas.

ACL is also a great place to just kick back, relax, and enjoy the calming presence of nature as well as the Antone Creek running just fifty feet away.

Help support the small businesses that are the foundation of our nation's economy!

There are lots of great shops downtown in both La Grande and Baker. Such shops range from outdoor stores (The Trailhead in Baker City and Blue Mountain Outfitters in La Grande) to boutiques (No. 1911 in Baker City) to local craftsmen stores (Community Merchants in La Grande). Plus many more. There is also a great gift store called the Gold Rush in Haines (on the way to Baker), that includes work from local artists and craftsmen.
